June is finally here! There’s something about summertime that brings out our romantic side. The warmth and positive energy of these months makes summer perfect for a new fling, dreamy dates, or tying the knot.
Whether you’re a blushing bride or just wearing rose-colored glasses, my rose quartz collection is perfect for women who want tender but significant details in their jewelry.
It is said that rose quartz has healing properties, its energy unclogs negativity in your heart and opens you up to love and positivity. By wearing it, you brighten your ‘aura’ and draw others to you. Who doesn’t love that?
There is a femininity and softness that’s innate to rose quartz. The soft shade of blush is flattering to all skin tones and adds a pop of color that isn’t over-whelming. It can pair with almost any outfit and brings a touch of romance.
Rose quartz and freshwater pearls together are romantic and classic. I love the combination of delicate, pale pink quartz with textured sterling silver.
Like all my jewelry, this collection is handmade by me right here in Arizona. This summer, you’ll find me hunting for swimmin’ holes, taking forest hikes with my sweet dog Sugarfoot, spending time with my dude, and dreaming of new jewelry concepts. Follow me on Instagram to keep up with my adventures!
Wherever this summer takes you, I hope it’s full of romance, rosy sunsets, and loads of fun.
My Grandfather, Leonard Kilgore, fought in the Navy in World War II. He thankfully returned home safely, while many of his fellow soldiers did not– they and all combat Heroes should be remembered and honored.
When traveling, the less you have to carry the better, right? Versatile jewelry that can be worn in different ways allows you to change your look without taking up extra space in your suitcase. Necklaces that can be worn short or long, earrings that take you from day to night, these are ‘must have’ items for every fashionista to travel with.
This triple strand ancient bronze hoop necklace goes beautifully with black and shades of brown and gold, making it a travel must-have. It can be worn with only one strand around your neck for a longer look, as pictured on the left. The pop of color from the sleeping beauty turquoise brings out shades of blue, and adds some intrigue.
These earrings are under-stated enough to wear with a t-shirt and jeans, and stylish enough to become evening wear.
Travel tip: avoid swimming and showering in your jewelry! Your pieces will tarnish and become duller faster. Lounging around in jewelry and swimwear on dry land is A-OK though.
Reach for pieces that can be worn long or short when packing for your journey. My longer pearl necklaces give you the freedom to play around with length.
Longer necklaces look great with v-necks, open necklines, and swimwear.
As a denim fanatic who often has to look professional, I want my jewelry to be as versatile as possible. I love keeping things easy and simple, especially when travelling!
Wherever this year takes you, I hope your travels bring you adventure and inspiration! To keep up with my trips and treks, follow me onInstagram.
It’s that time of year! When stress turns to relief and students become graduates. Graduations signify the end of one chapter, but also the exciting start of a journey. It’s important to celebrate the occasion with a gift that is high quality, beautiful, and commemorative.
Hand-crafted jewelry is the perfect gift for anyone about to set off on a new adventure. All my jewelry is made in Arizona from high grade materials like ancient bronze, pyrite, recycled sterling silver, freshwater pearls, and semi-precious stones.

The chain is sterling silver faceted ball chain. But here’s the great part: it’s fully adjustable! Not sure what size to get your grad? This necklace can be worn as long as 20 inches or as short as they like. It goes with just about every neckline and shirt style – who doesn’t love versatility?
Shown here at 16 inches.
Whether it’s high school or college, your graduate worked hard to get that diploma. Congratulations, Class of 2018! The world is your oyster!
Slowly but surely, people are realizing the perils of “fast fashion”. If you walk through a shopping mall, the majority of what you see is “fast fashion” — trends that will come and go in a month. Sequins, frills, ruffles, chokers, plastics, cheap fabrics, and cheap jewelry.
These “fashion” items are made in foreign factories, by people who often have no other choice but to work for pennies. The quality of these pieces are poor because of the quick turnaround to meet the demands of flashy “trends”. That cheap bracelet and blouse will fall apart after 3 wears, perpetuating the cycle of consumerism and throw-away culture.
Jewelry is an especially worthwhile investment for any person of style. Cheap jewelry contains metals that irritate the skin, and the shoddy craftsmanship is apparent when fake jewels and stones fall out of your rings, earrings, etc.
Investing in “slow” fashion, pieces created by designers and artists, is not only a wise financial choice (the pieces will last much longer), but a moral one. Wouldn’t you rather support a small business, who takes pride in their work and products? Or a large corporation where all they care about is quarterly profits and trapping people in a vicious fashion cycle?
Each Rosa Kilgore piece is made in Arizona, where I live and where my inspiration originates. I take pride in using high quality materials like American turquoise, recycled sterling silver, semi-precious stones, ancient bronze, and freshwater pearls. As a metalsmith and silversmith, each piece has my own fingerprints all over it – this is personal to me.
My pieces will not fall apart after a few wearings, they are made to last as long as you care for them. I make one-of-kind pieces of art that will withstand passing “trends”. I don’t believe in buying something trendy, only to toss it away soon after when the craze passes. True style is timeless — all you need is high-quality, unique pieces and confidence.
Mothers. They do it all: nurture, teach, comfort, inspire. They raise us up right, care for us when we’re sick, and support us. Moms are our first friends in the world, and the bond we form with them cannot be replicated. Though we should celebrate them all the time, there is one designated day of the year to highlight the importance of these wonderful women.
This Mother’s Day, get her something special. While fashion trends may come and go, artisan jewelry is an investment worth making. The gift of handmade jewelry tells her you understand that she is special and worthy of wearable art.
Rosa Kilgore jewelry is made by hand, one piece at a time with love and care, right here in Arizona. Each mama is unique – and so is each pair of my hoop earrings, each statement necklace. Hand crafted with classic elements like rose quartz, sterling silver, freshwater pearls, and ancient bronze – my jewelry is current, yet timeless.
No two moms or step-moms are alike. If you’re lucky like me, you have the best of each. Thank you to Lele and T-Bird for being my inspiration, my mentors, and my friends. I love you both so much!
